CONGRATULATIONS: to the VARSITY GIRLS BASKETBALL TEAM for their WIN over the Hesperia Panthers last night with a score of 40-34 in overtime. Their next District game will be this Wednesday 3/4/26 at White Cloud HS. Holton vs Shelby at 5:30pm. On Holton!

MS/HS PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCES: 12 Noon to 7pm.

FISHING INFORMATIONAL STUDENT/PARENT MEETING: This Thursday, 3/5/26 at 6pm at the District Services Building. The Muskegon’s Great Outdoors is having a meeting to discuss Holton joining MGO for this season’s fishing tournaments. This meeting is for 6th - 12th grade student anglers and their parents/guardians. Discussion will be about angler responsibilities and opportunities. Time is short to join this season’s fishing tournaments, so interested students and parents/guardians should plan on attending this meeting. If there are any questions you might have between now and Thursday evening, please call Kevin at 231.670.0607

SPADDY’S CAFE: Remember tomorrow to stop by Mr. Spadafore's classroom for a $2 coffee or hot cocoa. Sales will continue through third hour.  All proceeds support the writing team.

SOFTBALL MEETING: There will be a meeting TODAY during seminar for HS GIRLS interested in playing SOFTBALL this season in Mrs. Tanner's classroom(rm 115). There will be a PA announcement to dismiss student athletes after attendance is taken.

BASEBALL MEETING: There will be a meeting TODAY during seminar for HS BOYS interested in playing BASEBALL this season in the Wrestling Room.. There will be a PA announcement to dismiss student athletes after attendance is taken.

BLOOD DRIVE: Our next blood drive is just 2 weeks away on Friday March 13th.  Please sign up for a slot using the QR CODE on the office window or see Mrs. Schulz or Mrs. Olson.  This time for donating you will receive a sweatshirt.  

ALL STUDENTS: - It is very important that you get your Xello To Do List completed.  If you can complete all your tasks BEFORE spring break, you will get your name into a drawing for a gift card.  There will be 3 winners per grade level!  Completion status will be checked before spring break and the drawing will take place when we return.  Either way you have to complete these tasks, so you might as well do it early for a chance to win!  If you have any questions, please see Ms. Fairchild.

SOPHOMORES, JUNIORS & SENIORS: Permission slips are now available for the Hope College, Davenport University, and Western Michigan University campus tours this spring. See Ms. Wisniewski for a permission slip. Permission slips will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

PROM DRESS GIVEAWAY: First Reformed Church’s 9th Annual Free Prom Dress Giveaway Event is back! Anyone in need of a prom dress, come to First Reformed Church of Fremont (348 E. Main St) on Friday, March 27 (4 pm to 8 pm) or Saturday, March 28 (9 am to 1 pm) to choose from our HUGE variety of new and gently used donated dresses and accessories in tons of colors, styles, and sizes. There are NO qualifications to attend this event - it is open to anyone in the community and surrounding area in need of a prom dress.

COLLEGE CORNER: COLLEGE ADVISOR - Abby Wisniewski

JUNIORS: Optional SAT practice will be held every Wednesday during lunch in the library. Study for 3+ hours on Khan Academy for a prize! One prize per student.

  • Davenport University Campus Tour- Thursday, Apr. 2. Permission slips due Mar. 27th (10th, 11th & 12th grade-permission slip required)
  • Western Michigan University Campus Tour- Thursday, Apr. 23. Permission slips due Apr. 16th (10th, 11th & 12th grade-permission slip required)
  • Muskegon Community College Senior Visit Day- Monday, Apr. 13. Permission slips due April 1. (12th grade only, seniors who plan to attend MCC in the fall)

JUNIORS & SENIORS: Sign up for college representative visits outside of Ms. Wisniewski's office or through this Google Form: https://forms.gle/A4ENsMaQvLwNnG9t8. As a reminder, these are visits where the admissions representative comes to the school (library) to talk about their college. This is NOT a commitment to the institution, it's just a way for you to get more information about it!"

HS STUDENTS: Need some hygiene items like shampoo, body wash, deodorant, toothpaste, or feminine products? You can get them for FREE! Just stop by the office to grab a quick signup form. A bag with your items will be put in your locker every other month — NO COST, totally confidential, and all provided by the We Are H.E.R.E. program.

SPORTS PHYSICALS: Student Athletes MUST have a current Sports Physical on file to participate in practice and game 

STUDENTS THAT ARE DRIVING TO SCHOOL: MUST have a parking PERMIT! Permits are available in the office, please see Mrs. Goyings. PERMITS are $5 dollar and are REQUIRED for all students who drive to school. 

REMINDER: Students are not allowed to go to their gym locker during the day unless it is at the time of their scheduled gym class. This means students/student athletes should not access their gym lockers during pass time, lunch or other class times.  

REMINDER: THERE ARE NO BACKPACKS, COATS OR BLANKETS ALLOWED IN CLASSROOMS!

REMINDER: THERE ARE NO CELL PHONES IN THE CLASSROOMS OR HALLWAYS (Students may ONLY have cell phones at Lunch).

ALL STUDENTS: Please do NOT enter the library if there is a sign on the door saying that the library is closed. Come back at a later time when the library is open and there is no sign on the door.  

PARENTS: REQUIRED All students need to have their parents update their demographic information in Powerschool.  Emergency cards & paper forms will not be sent home so it is very important that information & forms are updated and completed in Powerschool. To Login go to the www.holtonschools.com website scroll to bottom of page and choose Powerschool. Once you login, go to Demographic Update (lower left of the screen) and Complete Steps to update current information and complete all the forms (Handbook, concussion, media consent etc.). Be sure to include an email address! Click Submit once completed. If you are having trouble logging on please contact the MS/HS office.
