About the Holton Education Foundation
The Holton Education Fund was initially established in 1992 and relaunched in 2002 with the Community Foundation for Muskegon County. The purpose of this fund includes but is not limited to, providing support for various programs and projects that will enrich and enhance educational opportunities for Holton students, in addition to providing support to graduates so that they may further pursue postsecondary training and education. In 2016, the fund met the required distribution amount of $10,000 providing us the opportunity to fulfill this fund’s purpose. We started a spring fundraiser, Red Devil Legacy, to raise additional funds for this endeavor and developed a board to oversee the fund’s activities. In addition to this, the district allowed staff to contribute to the fund directly through payroll deduction. We had a tremendous response to this where many members of Holton Public Schools staff signed up to contribute in this way. Since 2018, the Holton Education Fund has grown from $17,000 to over $100,000. Our generous donors are having a profound impact on our students and staff!
